The superintendent is named in the contract. The role is to administer it fairly, and to keep the principal informed when money or time is in question.
Many commercial projects in Western Australia use AS 4000 or a similar form. The form for each job is confirmed before we start. We do not assume it here.
Who it is for
Principals who want the contract administered by someone who is not the builder.

Dee has not confirmed a project against this service yet. The role labels on the project list are drafts, so nothing is forced in here.
Questions
What does the superintendent do?
The superintendent administers the building contract. That includes assessing progress claims, variations and extensions of time, and instructing under the contract when required.
Is the superintendent the same as the project manager?
No. A project manager drives the project for the client. A superintendent has a specific role under the building contract. Kariba can do either, or both, when the appointment is clear.
Which contract do you administer?
Whichever form the project uses. AS 4000 is common in Western Australia. The actual form is confirmed with Dee for each appointment.
